Inspirational cooking with seasonal ingredients

Cumbria on a Plate runs cookery demonstrations in Mawbray near Maryport in Cumbria. Courses are run throughout the winter months to bring a little culinary cheer to those long dark winter days.
The sessions are designed to be inspirational and informative and to show participants how to create delicious recipes using high quality, locally produced and seasonal ingredients, many of which are grown on the premises.
Each day starts at 10.15am with a welcome drink. This is followed by the cookery demonstration together with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss cooking experiences.
The session ends with a delicious lunch, further enhanced by the magnificent views over the sea.
The courses cost just £45 per person, which includes welcoming coffee, demonstration, recipe sheets, lunch of the dishes I’ve prepared & a glass of wine.
