A glorious early summer’s day in Cumbria and I was able to get the first of the tomatoes planted out into the garden. Rose Wolfe had sold me some Green Grape tomatoes, a sweet though green coloured tomato which has grown here before, though inside. Along side these I’m growing some un named yellow varieties which I found last year in the leek bed and have kept the seeds for growing on.
I’ve had ladybirds what ladybirds do well in the garden too – making love in the pear blossom – here’s looking forward to beneficial insects being plentiful this year.
